About Indochine Vien
Located at 3110 Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90039, Indochine Vien operates as a vietnamese serving Los Angeles in California. Google also lists it under pho restaurant, restaurant, vegan restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Los Angeles, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

There are not many Vietnamese restaurants in the area to compete with, and Indochine has been here in Atwater for over a decade. In years past, they have been just okay. A spot to grab some Pho or Vermicelli, or even a Bahn Mi if you don't want to make a trek into the SGV or visit nearby equivalents. The Pho here has gotten better. Their broth, on average, isn't overly seasoned nor overly fragrant. Noodles are fresh, along with the accompaniments of vegetables and herbs. Popular friend Egg Rolls are small and lack real Vietnamese flavors. They do offer a variety of fillings. Rice Dishes and Vermicelli are on par with many of the mentioned dishes. Ingredients are fresh and still average. There is simply no great value here with pricing that borders on gourmet. $18 for a bowl of Pho and $10 order of egg rolls is simply difficult to spend for what you are getting here without considering elsewhere. Their Bahn Mi sandwiches are also nearly $20. Not my first go-to, but their service is friendly, and the take-away or delivery option in a pinch is convenient.

This is our tried and tried neighborhood Pho spot. Quick, friendly service is the name of the game here. Their broth, food quality and portions are always exactly on point. Since their opening we have enjoyed consistently great Pho. This is our regular spot for a quick dinner when hot soup or Vietnamese entrees are what we crave.

The owner did a really good job adopting some traditional dishes into vegetarian versions, and they have a vegetarian category. The traditional fish sauce is a soy and vinegar alternative for my rice noodles. I tried their #28, vegetarian pho, spring rolls and egg rolls. Really good. Other Vietnamese places hardly have such a big selection. The owner and nice waiter always remembers what I like and brings my food.

This place is nice and simple, the food is amazing and the service is really good. I like that it's underrated. I would come back again. I recommend the number 7. Best pho I had ever.

Good Pho in Los Feliz. Pretty solid spot, portions were large especially the pho bowls and the various meat they used for the pho dac biet was flavorful. Broth did feel slightly watered down but with a little sriracha, it fixed it right up. Cha Gia (fried eggrolls) were pretty decent as well. Definitely not enough lettuce to wrap each one and they were pretty smallβ¦usually you get about 4 per order at every other vietnamese spot but this one only gave 3. But overall, very enjoyable, would definitely go back if I was in the area.
